"Elijah was a man who went through a season of wainting; of hiding. Have you ever been in one of those kind of seasons? What have you relied on to get you through it? Elijah was sustained by food brought to him by a raven for what scholars say was about 18 months...can you imagine? In Elijah's time and culture, ravens were considered dirty and beyond desirable- but that's what God chose to keep Elijah fed, alive, and hidden from enemies who wanted him dead. What peace comes from walking in relationship with God, even if it's a walk you didn't expect to take. You and I are loved by the one and only God who chooses strange circumstances to bring victory, and I'm here for it."
